Barbiconi<\/strong> sits on top of the hills of the town of <strong>Suvereto<\/strong>,\u00a0northeast of the village, right in front of <strong>Monteverdi Marittimo<\/strong>, along the central part of the\u00a0Tuscan coast, in the northern part of the <strong>Maremma<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>We are about 110 meters above sea level, the area is definitively \u00a0different from the flattest one, which is located just in front of the sea. The sea itself is only 15 km away, but the area is protected\u00a0by a range of hills, 20 meters higher than the village. It &#8216;a very nice\u00a0place, surprising about how it is\u00a0still intact and wild.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The dominant position<\/strong> allows to enjoy a beautiful view, almost in all directions, but especially from north to east.<br class=\"\" \/>The site is framed by <strong>forested hills<\/strong>, <strong>scrubland<\/strong> and <strong>pastures<\/strong> for kilometers.<br \/>\n<br class=\"\" \/><strong>The area<\/strong> is always windy, with southwest dominant\u00a0direction during the day, but ready to reverse itself at sunset by the action of cold breezes\u00a0coming from the north and east woods. The <strong>minimum temperature of July falls almost\u00a0always around 16-17 degrees<\/strong>,\u00a0while the <strong>maximum are easily around 32- 33 degrees<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The soils<\/strong> are <strong>medium textured<\/strong>, <strong>stony<\/strong>, <strong>mineral<\/strong> and <strong>limestone rich<\/strong>. Are typical of the\u00a0geological formation known as the &#8220;Alberese&#8221;. It is a sedimentary rock, limestone marl,\u00a0formed on the bottom of an ancient ocean. The raising of the seabed shatters this\u00a0sedimented rock into small pieces as well\u00a0as in very large blocks. Sometimes it seems to\u00a0see &#8220;tiles&#8221; thick few centimeters as slabs weighing tons. You can clearly see the giant\u00a0blocks that we used to build the walls for the ground containment next to the winery, rather\u00a0than the ones small and light that we use as paving the road toward the\u00a0farmhouse.\u00a0Looking at the solis are well visible veins of white limestone, <strong>calcium<\/strong>, <strong>magnesium<\/strong> and also\u00a0\u201c<strong>galestro<\/strong>\u201d, a clay shale degraded into small fragments that are much loved by the\u00a0<strong>Sangiovese<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Estate located in Loc.
